A high level brainstorming was held today at Collectorate amongst top police officers of Udaipur region. The agenda was to identify measures to curb the increasing crime rate in the state, especially rising cases of human trafficking and missing persons.

Police prepares to end Human Trafficking

A high level brainstorming was held today at Collectorate amongst top police officers of Udaipur region. The agenda was to identify measures to curb the increasing crime rate in the state, especially rising cases of human trafficking and missing persons.

Meeting was led by R.P Singh, Additional Deputy General of Police (Civil Rights), along with Inspector General T.C Damor and S.P, AD.SP and Dy. SPs of six districts.

Before initiating the meeting, R.P Singh briefed media about the basic meeting agenda which was to include rise in human trafficking and missing person ratio in state.

“We will brainstorm on how to control the human trafficking problem, there are significant rise in the cases of lost people which is a very worrisome issue”, said the ADG.

He also said that I will ask all officers attending this meeting to have a discussion with all administrative officers of their area to sensitize the issue and take effective measures to bring it to a halt.

A reporter asked ADG about the present situation in tribal areas where many cases of tribal children being smuggled to neighboring state for BT cotton have been reported. Singh said that he is well aware of the situation and will take strong measures to combat such illegitimate activities where women and children are involved.

Along with IG TC Damor, ADSP Kaluram Rawat and Dy SP Dayanand Sarang were also present in the meeting.
