Wholesale medical store employee Pramod Mehta was shot dead in Dholi Bawdi area around 10 months back. Court has denied bail plea of the accused in this case.

Accused Abdul Salam s/o Abdul Rehman shot Pramod Mehta in broad daylight while trying to snatch a bag containing 4 lakh rupees. The accused was behind bars since last 7 months. Abdul Salam and 3 of his accomplices had planned to rob the money bag from Pramod Mehta while he was on his way to Dava Bazar on 5^th June 2017. As per the schedule, Pramod Mehta was walking towards Dava Bazar with the hand bag that had collections of the previous day. The amount in bag was 4 lakh rupees and this fact was already known to Abdul Salam and his accomplices.

On the day of 5^th June, when Abdul and his friends could not snatch away the bag from Pramod Mehta, Abdul resorted to opening fire at Pramod as a result of which he died. Abdul Salam had applied for bail which was denied this Wednesday 4^th April.
