It was last year, in the month of January that the Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) and the Railways decided to construct a Road Under Bridge at Thokar Chauraha.

After a year, the tenders have been processed and the Rs 2.36 Crore project has been alloted. The project is expected to take nine months to complete.

UIT Secretary Ravindra Srimali said that the RUB at Thokar will provided much awaited relief to those residing or working at Pratap Nagar, Dabok Airport, Hiran Magri and specially Madri Industrial area.

As a part of the joint association towards the project, the UIT has disbursed an amount of Rs 50 lakh to the Railways, as the first installment of UIT’s share. The Project is being managed by the Railways.
