Protest against Reservation in Promotion Bill
Activists of Samta Andolan Samiti laid protest outside the office of collector against the ‘Reservation in Promotion Bill’ to be introduced in the Rajya Sabha. The group set ablaze the effigy of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and warned pen-down strike.
Activists of Samta Andolan Samiti laid protest outside the office of collector against the ‘Reservation in Promotion Bill’ to be introduced in the Rajya Sabha. The group set ablaze the effigy of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and warned pen-down strike.
The bill is going to be introduced in Rajya Sabha with 17th Amendment in constitution, in the favor of the Bill.
Members of the Samiti informed that if the bill is introduced in the Rajya Sabha, then there will be a State-wide pen-down, tool-down strike, and the members also burned the effigy of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as their protest against the bill.
Uma Shankar Sharma, President of the Samiti; State Organization Secretary, Jay Kishan Choube and many more government workers were present during the protest.
