As per reports, the campaign which was conducted between 16th and 21st October saw more than 1100 challans being cut against people who break traffic rules, drunken driving, black films on 4-wheelers, more than one pillion rider, modified silencers, minors driving without learning license, using mobile while driving and, of course, against people for riding 2-wheelers without wearing helmets. Modified silencers were taken-off and company silencers were fitted on vehicles in police stations. It is yet another point that many policemen are still seen riding bikes without wearing helmets. Probably rules are not meant for the ‘uniform adorners’.
