Public Parking and Bus Stand on Pula Road will end Traffic Woes at Fatehpura

As a next step to relieving the city of traffic congestion, the Udaipur Administration has decided to build a Public Parking and Bus Stand at the Pula Bridge on the Nathdwara Road near Fatehpura Circle.

Fatehpura Circle has been witnessing excessive traffic jams and congestion problems for over two decades now, due to Private Bus Operators having their offices on Fatehpura Circle.

These operators, including Parshwanath, Jain Travels, Srinath Travels, etc. have their Busses halt at their office on the Fatehpura Circle, leading to incessant and regular traffic jams as the road leading towards Bhuwana is very narrow.  This has also become a safety risk due to retail shops and schools in the area.

UIT Secretary Ramnivas Mehta said that the tendering process for construction has started and Rs. 16.75 Lakh rupees have been budgeted towards the project.

Sanjay Sharma, SE-UIT said that the development of the Fatehpura Circle is underway and illegal construction around the area will be demolished.  Recently the circle was also cleared for traffic.
