The state government has issued restrictions against gatherings on Holi (March 28) and Shab-e-Barat (March 29) at public places, religious places and markets.

Amid surge in covid cases, Rajasthan government has issues restrictions on public gatherings on the festive occasions of Holi and Shab-e-Barat.  Rajasthan and other states have witnessed around 771 cases of the 3 variants of covid.

Since the festive seasons witness huge public gatherings, it has been decided to impose strict restrictions as social distancing is the most required things in the present times and people tend to forget this mandate during festivities.

There will be strict restrictions on 28th March and 29th March in markets, public places and religious places. No celebrations are allowed as 40 percent surge has been recorded in the past 24 hours. Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh had already imposed restrictions and Rajasthan followed suit.

The new strains are spreading at a much faster rate and it is quite imperative that all possible steps are taken by the government and followed by the public as any negligence can result in uncontrollable disaster.
