Udaipur, March 4, 2026 - Ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, Rajasthan Police has launched a major technology-driven initiative to strengthen women’s safety across the State.

As per the vision of Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma, a special Statewide campaign has begun to install QR code-enabled posters and stickers of the RajCop Citizen App inside public transport vehicles including buses, autos and taxis.

The initiative ensures that women and girls travelling in public transport can instantly access police assistance in case of emergency. The move aims to enhance safety confidence among students, working women and female commuters.

Passengers can simply scan the QR code displayed inside the vehicle using their smartphones to download the RajCop Citizen App.

The app includes a dedicated “Need Help” feature designed for emergency situations. With just one click, the user’s live location is sent directly to the police control room, enabling immediate response and support.

Launched on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the campaign reflects that women’s safety is not just a priority but an ongoing mission. By integrating technology at the grassroots level, Rajasthan Police is reinforcing its commitment to women’s security. The initiative is expected to improve awareness, boost confidence among women travellers and mark a new chapter in public transport safety across Rajasthan.
