UIT has issued a tender to construct food court at Rajiv Gandhi Park, Rani Road. UIT had issued the same tender in March but no contractor came forward.

Roop Kumar Khurana, Chairman of UIT said that the proposal is to make an international food court at Rajiv Gandhi Park. The tender will be open till December this year.

“We want people to eat in Food Court and not bring any eatables inside the garden, this will help in keeping the garden clean” says, Khurana.

The park was inaugurated in 2008 and in end of 2009 a food court was started there but it has been shut down for one year, the reason given by the chairman is no public response.
