Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, in a meeting chaired at his residence today, has announced that the Night Curfew has been removed with immediate effect.
The decision was taken in a COVID review meeting held earlier today. The decision was taken after reviewing the COVID-19 situation in the state. The nearly 50 day night curfew has resulted in a decrease in the number of COVID cases in the state. However, the night curfew had given a dent to the retail traders, restaurant owners and marketplace shops, as most of their active business hours were towards the evening.
With schools also reopening in the state today, the lifting of the evening restrictions will come as a big relief for the trading community and restaurant owners.
In the meeting, the CM has however warned that the remaining safety protocols need to be followed as is, as a resultant spread will cause the restrictions to be imposed once again.
