To increase security measures in various residential colonies, Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC) has invited tenders for the new projects worth Rs 1.09 Crore. This amount includes the MLA grant of Rs. 80 lacs.
To increase security measures in various residential colonies, Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC) has invited tenders for the new projects worth Rs 1.09 Crore. This amount includes the MLA grant of Rs. 80 lacs.
Around Rs 35 lacs have been sanctioned for installing security gates in various parts of the city and a similar amount has been allotted to develop and maintain Panghats. The remaining amount will be spent on some particular issues and other development works such as developing an open library in the government school for girls etc.
Today, after a meeting with UMC Chairperson Rajni Dangi, Councillor of Ward 55 Kharol Colony, Nafisa Saif informed that four security gates will be installed in her locality to put a check on the entry of anti-social elements.
Nafisa Saif said that she received a number of complaints from residents about theft of petrol; and recent cases of robbery in the area made it necessary to take the step for people’s safety.
“Estimated amount for the required work was discussed today; around Rs. 80 thousand per gate will be spent”, shared Nafisa.
