Residents of Sikh Colony to receive Pattas after 51 Years

In the ‘Prashasan Shehron Ke Sang’ scheme started by State Government to give away legal documents of pre-owned lands, around 18 residents of Sikh Colony will receive patta of their land after nearly five decades.

 

In the ‘Prashasan Shehron Ke Sang’ scheme started by State Government to give away legal documents of pre-owned lands, around 18 residents of Sikh Colony will receive patta of their land after nearly five decades.

According to Tejender Singh Robin, President of Gurudwara Sach Khand Darbar, there are nearly 60 houses in colony that were build after the independence which was approved by the then local authority whereby some of the residents were given the patta or equivalent legal document against their respective land, but a small number of houses remained deprived with the allotment.

Robin added that residents of the locality were regularly visiting concern departments for patta from past 8 years, finally in 2013 when State government started the scheme these residents collectively filled the application with Municipal Corporation. Though late, but these 18 residents will be surely be delighted after receiving long awaited pattas.
