Review of State Projects to Accelerate Green Energy Corridor

UdaipurTimes, Sept 22, 2026 - Rajasthan Chief Secretary V Srinivas reviewed the progress of inter-State and intra-State transmission projects at the Secretariat on Monday, September 21, with senior officials of Power Grid and the State Energy Department. During the meeting, he directed officials to resolve the right-of-way (RoW) issues related to these projects at the earliest so that the State can fully benefit from the Green Energy Corridors. The Energy Department informed that District Collectors and Superintendents of Police have been directed to provide the necessary assistance to resolve these route-related issues.

Power Grid requested that land be made available for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) lines with higher transmission capacity, which would enable electricity generated from solar parks to be transmitted to other States without tripping. Srinivas directed necessary action in this regard.

The Chief Secretary said that Rajasthan leads the country in solar energy production. In such a scenario, the State's power transmission system is being strengthened through inter-State and intra-tate transmission projects to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted evacuation of electricity generated by renewable energy projects established in Rajasthan. The construction of a modern, high-capacity transmission grid will not only strengthen the State's energy security but also contribute to the country's progress so it is essential that these projects are completed on time, he emphasised.
