UIT has started working on the tender for construction of road from Roadways bus stand, Udaipole till Sikh colony. This tender work started after an agreement was reached with Agriculture college regarding land usage.
UIT Chairman, Ravindra Shrimali informed that 932 mtr long road will be constructed from Roadways bus stand and will join the railway underpass at Kumbharo ka Bhatta. The road has been proposed to be 60 ft wide.
The land for the purpose has been provided free of cost by the agriculture college to UIT. 2.5126 hectare area around the road will be converted into commercial space and will be auctioned off. The auction amount will be passed on to agriculture college and will be deposited in pension fund.
UIT had already taken 170 mtr land from roadways. Roadways union office that was coming in the way has already been taken down. Hence, work on road construction will begin as soon as the tender process is completed.
The road will run from roadways bus stand parallel to the railway line before meeting the underpass. This road is expected to bring traffic down at Udaipole, Surajpole, Fateh School road and Kumbharo ka Bhatta.
