The 25th Road Safety Week will start from tomorrow, 16th January. The program will commence with a Rally, which will be flagged off from Police Control Room at 10:00 AM.

Jitendra Singh, Regional Transport Officer informed that Interactive Multimedia Games on Road Safety have been distributed to 40 schools in the region. These interactive CD Games are developed by the Indian Government to facilitate knowledge of Traffic Rules among children.

“Placing ‘reflectors’ on slow moving heavy vehicles like Tractors and Trolley-Trucks will be made mandatory and will be aggressively implemented”, he added.

Various events in both private and government schools have been scheduled during this week. For the first time in this movement, a candle march will be carried out to place tribute to those who have lost their lives to road accidents.
