District Collector Ashutosh A.T Pednekar, during a city wide inspection today, ordered road widening on various stretches including main road from Bedla to Kavita, Savina Sect-9 and Sub City Center to Jholawas.

According to Ashutosh Pednekar, these are some of the busiest roads and are under high traffic pressure due to a number of reasons. He particularly highlighted the road from Bedla to Kavita as this is the road that a large number of people from nearby districts as well as villages use for approaching the town.

Other roads include Savina circle and Sub City Center to Jholawas area. During inspection of these roads, it was discovered that though the roads are wide enough but they have been subjected to encroachment by Automobile workshops. These will be removed and road widening work will be initiated shortly.

Ashutosh Pednekar further informed that inner approach road of ‘Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon’ has also been approved and construction work for the same will be carried out by Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) after following due procedures along with other road widening works.
