More development will be observed soon on the roads of Udaipur district as the collector has announced revamp of 26 accident prone roads. And to avoid road mishaps caused by overloading, additional four wheeler autos will be started.

The autos will be another means of public transportation which will connect remote villages coming under 467 Panchayats.

Ashutosh Pednekar, district collector decided to overhaul those roads which are considered highly accident prone. “26 such roads have been identified and engineers will find out the loopholes and root cause to the fatal accidents,” he added.

In another decision, remote villages of Udaipur district will be connected with the city through new transportation system.

R.T.O is directed to define more than 200 routes to connect 467 panchayats. These routes will get easy transportation through 9-12 seater autos. These exclude jeeps and three wheelers.

Those who wish to start transport service may get the permission in just 24 hours and will also get government subsidy on interest under CGFT.
