Rs.10 Cr will be Spent in Single Basement Parking at UMC

The Hathiwala Park at Town Hall Campus would be transformed into a single basement parking within area of 4000 Sq meter. Accommodating ample parking space for nearly 100 four wheelers and 200 two wheelers incurring cost of Rs.10.87 Cr.

The Hathiwala Park at Town Hall Campus would be transformed into a single basement parking within area of 4000 Sq meter. Accommodating ample parking space for nearly 100 four wheelers and 200 two wheelers incurring cost of Rs.10.87 Cr.

The project received sanction from the State Government, where work has been initiated by the private contractor appointed by Ridcor Company.

Efforts of Udaipur Municipal Corporation for developing underground parking at Hathiwala Park has started taking shape.

The appointed contractor for the project has begun working on the project few days back, in which all the amusement was removed from the park.

The construction is expected to complete the project within a time limit of one year.

According to Niraj Mathur, Executive Engineer, UMC, as per project parking space will be developed in the area of around 4000 Sq Meter.

Once the parking is developed a beautiful park would be established on visible parts of the space. Entry for the parking would be at junction of Town Hall Link Road, while exit is planned to at Link Road itself toward Shakti Nagar added Niraj Mathur.

Rajni Dangi, Mayor, UMC said “The parking space will definitely solve the prevailing parking problem within the locality, although it is still under consideration that parked vehicles will be charged or to be made free”.
