State Government has provided its approval for construction of flyover at Pratapnagar Chouraha. The flyover will be constructed along the Sukher Balicha Road.

State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria said that a proposal was sent to State Government for construction of flyover at Pratapnagar Chouraha at an estimated cost of Rs 21 Crores. State Government has given its go ahead for the same and tender process will hopefully be initiated shortly.

The financial budget for this will be provided by UIT and UMC. UIT will provide Rs 16 Cr for this while UMC will provide Rs 5 Cr.

Urban Development & Housing (UDH) Minister Shrichand Kriplani has cleared the project file paving way for start of tendering process.

As per the plan a flyover will come up along Sukher Balicha road while an underpass will be there along the Dabok Udaipur road. To ensure that traffic from Chittorgarh to Udaipur does not stall at Pratapnagar Chauraha, pillars of 12-12 mtr height will be erected. The underpass will be 12 mtr wide and 2 three lane standard boxes of 5.5 mtr height will be constructed. The vehicles coming from Bhuwana and going towards Balicha will pass over these boxes.
