For the benefit of thousands of passengers and to decongest the traffic burden at Udaipol road leading to city railway station, a second gate would become operational within two months.

For the benefit of thousands of passengers and to decongest the traffic burden at Udaipol road leading to city railway station, a second gate would become operational within two months.

Home minister Gulab Chand Kataria, Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari and railway department officials on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the second entry gate at the Tekri road. The entry gate would have a complex with green patch development area and facilities such as parking, waiting room, booking hall, reservation counters etc.

Naresh Salecha, Divisional Railway Manager, Ajmer Division said that the second entry gate would help in decongest the traffic while providing facilities to the passengers. The cost of the gate has been funded by UMC which pooled in Rs. 1 Cr, Rs. 20 Lac each from Kataria and Phool Singh Meena’s legislature funds and Rs. 20 Lac from MP Arjun Lal Meena.
