Udaipur witnessed its second highest per day COVID blast with 140 cases being declared positive from a sample of 874, which is 16%, the highest in terms of total positive over the number of sample reports received.
District Administration at Udaipur has issued its local orders today evening towards imposing Section 144 from 6pm today till 6pm on 31 October 2020. According to the orders, restrictions are in place once again on the gathering of more than 5 people in one place, but it is again ambigous, as it permits 20 people in funerals and upto 50 people in marriage functions. Gathering of people in places of religious worship has also been stopped with immediate effect. Wearing of masks in public areas is mandatory.
Earlier yesterday, Rajasthan government hasdimposed Section 144 across 11 districts of Rajasthan, including Udaipur in the light of exponential growth in the number of COVID19 cases in the state. The districts across which Section 144 has been imposed in Rajasthan include Udaipur, Alwar, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Kota, Bikaner, Sikar, Pali and Nagaur.
