Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) is working on sewerage lines within market areas, as a part of which they trenched a length of around 100 feet in Ashwani Bazaar.  This resulted in seepage of sewerage water into the basement of a few shops in the market.

According to Himmat Singh Barath, Commissioner, UMC, “These sewerage lines require heavy maintenance before the rainy season. Also these lines will be connected with the proposed Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) under Ayad Project.”
