The Shaheed Smarak situated at Udaipur Municipal Council’s ground at Town Hall will soon be taking the shape of a Heritage Monument with several traditional architectural works proposed to makeover the area.

Planned and proposed by the council itself, Shaheed Smarak is one of the many landmark constructions being executed in the city by the council.

Shaheed Smarak will be constructed in the town hall premises where the area of, 380×200 sq.feet has been earmarked for development of the Smarak.

Under the supervision of Neeraj Mathur (Ex. En.), a technical team of Manish Arora (AEN) and Shahibala Singh (JEN) has been constituted for the project.

Rajni Dangi, Chairperson, UMC has special concern for both the projects as she calls them her dream projects.

Islauddin, tender holder of the Shaheed Smarak and Shaheed Darshak Dirgha (Auditorium) and the park said, “We have planned the project to end within six months from now, but it will also depend on the monsoon.”

Shashibala Singh (JEN) informed us that the work of the construction of the Smarak is under progress and we are still looking for suggestions of the people. She said, “Shaeed Smarak will be enlightened by a high lamp and the Shaheed Darshak Dirgha will have Chhatriyan and domes engraved with traditional architectural styles of Udaipur.”

A proposal for a Mega Curtain Fountain behind the Samarak has also been recommended, said Singh.
