The slum areas developing in form of colonies around the established houses will be taken out of the realm. Under Free City Plan, UIT has started preparations for the same.

Secretary Rmaniwas Mehta surveyed 15 slum areas on Wednesday to gauge the real situation. The basic infrastructure of the dwellings was likely to be found out of the realm.

There are 41 slums listed in the Nigam. The officials will tour the rest of the slums to find out the current situation. For this concern, the UIT and Nagar Nigam will collaboratively visit the places.
