In a positive development the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) has been issued by the Smart City Company towards the Rs 537Cr tender for changing the face of the walled city.

As part of the tender, key work includes provision of 24 hour water, taking the electricity and telephone cable underground, laying ducts for all types of cables and improvement of sewerage system.

Now that the LoA has been issued, a bank guarantee (BG) needs to be furnished. Smart City CEO Siddharth Sihag said that the Smart City company has issued the agreement letter with the firm and now formalities for BG will be completed. This should be completed in next four weeks.

Post this Smart City company will issue the work order to the firm and work will then begin.
