In order to control the traffic situation in the city during the three days of Dhanteras, Roop Chaudas and Diwali, administration has made special arrangements

District Police Superintendent Kailash Chandra Bishnoi has approved the following trafffic arrangements to be in place during the next three days of Dhanteras, Roop Chaudas and Diwali.  Accordingly, the traffic will be diverted, some routes closed for motor traffic and regular pathways established from 25 October till 27 October.  The arrangements are as follows:

0400hrs on 25 October till 2359hrs on 28 October - Dhanteras

Vehicular Traffic will not be allowed to ply between Rang Niwas and Jagdish Mandir or between Jagdish Mandir till Rang Niwas

1600hrs on 25 October till 2359hrs on 26 October - Roop Chaudas

Vehicular Traffic - Three Wheelers and Four Wheelers will not be allowed to ply in the following areas:

  • Delhi Gate, Bapu Bazar till Old Control Room and Amrit Namkeen
  • Amrit Namkeen and Old Control Room till Bapu Bazar and Delhi Gate

1600hrs on 25 October till 0100hrs on 28 October - Diwali

All Vehicular Traffic - Two, Three and Four Wheelers will not be allowed to ply in the following areas:

  • Hathipol to Ghantaghar and Jagdish Chowk
  • Ghantaghar to Mukherjee Chowk, Marshal Chauraha, Sthal Chauraha to Old Control Room, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Park
  • Amrit Namkeen Bhandar, Old Control Room till Bapu Bazar and Delhi Gate
  • Delhi Gate and Bapu Bazar Old Control Room till Amrit Namkeen Bhandar
  • Chandpol till Jagdish Chowk
No Vehicles will be permitted between Surajpol Chauraha to Court Chauraha via the Town Hall Road from 1730hrs on 27 October - Diwali

On each of the three days, i.e. 25, 26 and 27 October, all heavy vehicles coming from the Ahmedabad route will need to divert from Paras intersection onto Reti Stand, Jadhav Nursery, Sevashram and exit from Pratap Nagar.  While in case of heavy vehicles plying from the Nathdwara side will need to divert from Sukher on the Pratap Nagar Chaurah and take the bypass leading to NH8.

PARKING FACILITIES from 25-27 October

  • Regar Colony, Opposite Baser Travels (excluding road next to Shaheed Smarak
  • Near Delhi Gate, Tonga Stand and Taiyyabiya School, leaving the main road
  • Opposite Amrit Namkeen Bhandar and Toran Bavdi Road
  • Outside Rajasthan Mahila Vidhyalaya (RMV)
  • Road Leading to Doodh Talai from Rang Niwas (leaving the main road)
  • Near Chandpol - leaving the main road
  • Hathipol Gate and Jhariya Mard (leaving the main road)
  • Taiyyabiyah School and Delhi Gate (leavnig the main road)
