The office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer, Udaipur - Dr Dinesh Kharadi, has informed that SRG Hospitals has been removed from the list of COVID Care empanelled hospitals in Udaipur district.

This decision was taken on 10 May 2021, when the Director of SRG Hospital was missing from a review meeting held at the CMHO office on 10 May 2021. Dr Dinesh Kharadi had called a meeting of all resident physicians at the COVID empannelled private hospitals to review the attendance of the resident physicians at these centers.

Additionally, the administrative officer and his medical team formulated by the District Collector has also reported that SRG Hospital neither has a full time resident MD - Physician nor a MD - Respiratory Medicine. The report also said that COVID Safety norms and COVID treatment guidelines are also not being followed at SRG Hospital.

Accordingly, SRG Hospital cannot admit any COVID patient with immediate effect. COVID patients who are already admitted in the hospital will have to be treated as per COVID treatment protocol.  The CMHO has warned of other regulatory actions against the hospital, if the above instructions are not adhere to properly.
