State Government Declines Land Transfer

A meeting of the District Industrial Committee (DIC) Udaipur was held today at the Collectorate in which the state government has declined transfer of Pasture land for Amberi extension in which the Marble association has already deposited an amount of Rs. 13 Crore to expand the Industrial area.

In the meeting of DIC, Amberi extension was discussed which the proposed area of around 71 hectares is now surrounded with the clouds of dilemma, as the state government has cancelled the allotment of around 20 hectares of land.

As per information provided by Arun Tak, Member, DIC the declined 20 hector land is pasture land, though the local authorities have agreed upon providing the other portion of around 39 and 11 hectares.

According to the sources the Marble Association has made payments of approximately Rs. 13 Crore in the year 1997. Further, this extension will help in the expansion of the marble business in the city, but the plan is still under consideration.
