State Governor Leaves for Jaipur
Margaret Alva, Governor of Rajasthan expressed her wish to do something for the tribal areas before leaving for Jaipur today morning after her four day visit to Udaipur and nearby areas.
Margaret Alva, Governor of Rajasthan expressed her wish to do something for the tribal areas before leaving for Jaipur today morning after her four day visit to Udaipur and nearby areas.
Alva, after visiting the tribal areas said, “I have enjoyed the Tribal Area Development”. She asked administrative officers about her aspiration to do something effective for Tribals. She also thanked all her subordinates for making the journey memorable.
The Governor visited Shilpgram and also praised the craftsmen and their artwork. Alva also addressed the meeting of West Zone Cultural Centre’s governing body and asked them to make folk films and literature focusing on children, to teach them about the rich cultural practices. Margaret Alva has also launched two books based on folk stories during her visit here.
Alva in her visit to tribal areas talked to the natives and informed them about many beneficial schemes run by the Government.
Margaret Alva, while addressing a program hosted by Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi, on one hand encouraged Tribal Art and Culture, and on the other hand asked for more work to be done in the areas of Women empowerment,
In her visit to Udaipur, Alva accompanied with her husband also enjoyed seeing famous tourist spots of the city including Lake Fateh Sagar, Saheliyon ki Bari, Crystal Gallery, and Jaisamand Lake. She also saw ‘Eco Destination’ at Kevda Forest Area, 20km from Udaipur.
