State Police to Monitor Noise Control During Board Exams
Rajasthan Police directs strict action against noise from hotels, restaurants and loudspeakers during Board exams; special monitoring after 10:00 pm
Udaipur, Feb 24, 2026 - Additional Director General (Law & Order) Vijay Kumar Singh of the State Police Headquarters has issued instructions to the authorities across Rajasthan to take action on unlawful disturbances caused by hotels, restaurants and loudspeakers for the Board examination duration. Directions have been given for special monitoring after 10:00 pm and for immediate action on complaints received at the control room.
Following this, the SP office has directed all Station House Officers (SHOs) to ensure strict compliance. SHOs have been instructed to prepare a list of sensitive areas in their jurisdictions and give them special attention during night patrols.
Udaipur police have indicated that patrolling will be increased in the older and densely populated areas of the city. Lists of hotels, banquet halls, restaurants and event venues are being updated. During the examination period, responsibilities will be assigned at the police station level to keep noise pollution under control.
The Police HQ has said that responsibility will be fixed on concerned officers if orders are violated. Additionally, legal action will be taken against organisers who violate noise pollution rules.
