Statewide Route March by Rajasthan Police Ahead of Festivals
On the directions of DGP Rajeev Kumar Sharma, police activity has been stepped up across all districts, with a visible police presence on major roads and in crowded areas
UdaipurTimes, Oct 14, 2026 - Rajasthan Police conducted special route marches across Rajasthan on Tuesday, October 13, with the aim of controlling crime, maintaining law and order and strengthening the public’s sense of security during the upcoming festivals.
Acting on the directions of Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) VK Singh instructed all Superintendents of Police across the State to conduct route marches on major roads and in crowded areas within their respective jurisdictions between 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm on Tuesday.
In compliance with these instructions, police personnel conducted route marches across all districts under the leadership of senior police officers. During the exercise, a strong police presence was ensured in major markets, busy road, and areas frequented by the public.
ADG Singh said that Rajasthan Police remains committed to controlling crime and maintaining law and order. He added that the police are taking necessary measures through increased vigilance and monitoring to ensure peace, harmony, and a safe environment during the upcoming festivals.
