Stuck for 18 years, Construction of ‘Mali Colony to JC Bose Hostel’ road begins

UIT finally started the 100 Ft. road construction work on Wednesday between Mali Colony and JC Bose Hostel which was suffering from bottleneck for almost 18 years. With the commencement of this work, Udaipol will directly get linked to Sector-3, Hiran Magri.

UIT secretary Ramniwas Mehta supervised the removal of illegal constructions from 5 AM till 2 PM. Also, collector Rohit Gupta monitored the process in between. Senior Town Planner Satish Shrimali was accompanied by SE Sanjay Sharma, XEn Sanjeev Sharma and Anit Mathur.

It is to consider that the road was under the Scheme for Integrated Development of Small & Medium Town in 1997 but there was an intrusion of property of Rajasthan College of Agriculture in that area. After a high level meeting held in Jaipur, an agreement was made between RCA and UIT.

The under constructed road commencing near Vidya Niketan School, Sector 3; passing through Mali Colony, RCA premises will reach JC Bose Hospital. Around Rs. 225 Lac will be spent on the construction of 1.5 Km road from Hiran Magri to Mali Colony in the first phase. In the second phase, the 700 Meter road will be constructed from Mali Colony to JC Bose Hostel with estimated cost of Rs. 179 Lac.

UIT affirms that the project will get completed by November, this year.
