Mohd. Yasin Pathan, Additional District Collector (City) insisted on promoting students to get involved in election procedures, for which he asked College representatives to catalyze the Electoral List Health Chekup camp amongst students in their colleges.

The Electoral List Health Checkup Camp, which started on 8th July, 2012 will continue till 5th Aug, 2012 and is directed towards helping individuals of the age 18 and above to make their Voting Identification cards.

ADM (City) held a meeting today in the Collectrate with College representatives including Principals and officials, and pointed the importance of motivating students who are or above 18 years of age, to have a Voting Card and to be involved in Voting procedures. He asked the relevant personnel to take it as a special mission.

The students (above 18 years) have to provide 2 passport size photos for their Voting Identification Card.  The cases where students have their name in the Voting List but the Voting Cards are due, can also apply for the Cards.

ADM (City) informed that, “If any resident of the city is yet to have their Photo Identity Proof, then they may contact Room No. 38 of Election Office, Collectrate on every 14th and 15th of the month and can initiate the procedure of Voting Identification Card”.

Dr. Mahamayaprasad solved the queries of the attending officials and also informed that, “The relative application for the procedure has been provided in Colleges”.
