UMC will give out a cash prize of Rs.5000 as part of its initiative to honour academic brilliance of students scoring above 75% marks in secondary and senior secondary examination. The list of the scoring students has been demanded from Deputy Education Officer (DEO).

Today, Mayor Rajni Dangi exchanging details of the programme informed that the earlier plan was to honour students of all the schools. It has now been decided to organise ceremony for students of Government schools only. Instructions have already been forwarded to local education department for providing names of eligible students.

An official source informed that Secondary and Senior Secondary students of all the government school would be included in this ceremony. In this honour programme, the meritorious students will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs.5000 along with an appreciation certificate.

Sources also informed that there will be around 45 students who would receive this honour from Udaipur Municipal Corporation.
