District Collector Aanandi has issued instructions for the removal of containment restrictions from the non curfew areas under Surajpol and Ghantaghar police station zone. These markets will now open under the Lockdown 5 guidelines that are effective till 30 June.
Considering the concentration of COVID19 patients in the walled city area under the above police station zones, the entire zones were under containment till 6 June. Having considered the absence of additional positive cases in the areas under these zones, the 6 June deadline is being adhered to.
ADM City, Sanjay Kumar, informed media that containment restrictions will be removed from 7 June. However the areas under curfew will have to observe the necessary protocol under Section 144 till 12 June, which the pre decided date as the orders from the District Magistrates office on 28 May.
The areas under curfew till 12 June in the walled city, include the following:
Ghantaghar Police Station zone:
Helawadi, Kanji ka Hata (Gali no. 2), Rao ji ka Hata, Kanod ki Haveli, Chhota Kumharwara, Peepleshwar Mahadev Road, Gayatri Marg
Surajpol Police Station zone:
Kanji ka Hata (Gali no 1), Naiyon ki Talai, Kheradiwara, Nayakwadi, Kumharwara, Jogiwara, Koliwara, Nadakhada, Mukherjee Chowk (Sabzi Mandi), Bhatnagaron the Mohalla
Dhanmandi Police Station zone:
Maheshwariyon ki Sehri, Dhimber Bhoiwara, Holika Chowk, Mandi ki Naal, Teej ka Chowk (sabji Mandi).
