The newly appointed Inspector General (IG) of Police T.C Damor was warmly welcomed by Udaipur administration with greetings and admiration when he officially stepped into his office at the Collectorate on the morning of 12^th April 2012.

T.C Damor, the former IG of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken the position of IG Police, Udaipur Range from former I.G, Govind Gupta who has been transferred to Bikaner as I.G.

T.C Damor who has been serving the Indian Police Services (Batch 1994) has a flourishing record throughout the service. Before working in ACB, Damor rendered his services as of S.P of Chittorgarh.

57 Year-old T.C Damor has joined police services as an RPS officer and was promoted in 1994 to IPS. Before executing several successful assignments as the chief of ACB, Damor had closely worked to impede illegal activities against Narcotics mafia of Chittorgarh-Pratapgarh belt.

While addressing the media today, T.C Damor discussed various issues related to the growing crime ratio in Udaipur. He has also taken suggestions from local media personnel and gave an assurance to work effectively.

When asked what would be his next plan and preparation to stop the crimes in the city, T.C Damor said “I would like you all to see my work, rather me commenting or promising anything at present.”

Explaining about his methodology, I.G said that he always tries to solve problems on-the-spot then piling it in a file. “As I worked in ACB for long, I have a complete different ideology which I have to change now according to my present position,” he says.

“I need equal support from all police officers including S.P of Udaipur to make my task effective,” expressed Damor.

Among several issues discussed with press, T.C Damor showed interest in starting online FIR process to connect common man with police.

All police and administrative officers visited the IG office to welcome and greet the senior officer.
