The much awaited Pratapnagar underpass is set to see the light of the day. Tendering process for the underpass was initiated yesterday by UIT.

UIT Chairman Ravindra Shrimali informed that the estimated cost of this project is Rs 17.5 Crores. UIT has initiated the tendering process and the tenders will be opened on 11-Sept.

Post opening of the tender and issuance of work order, the contractor will be given 1 year for completion of the work.

As part of this project an underpass will be constructed along Udaipur-Chittorgarh road on Pratapnagar crossroad. The underpass will be 27 mtr wide and 17 mtr long. The vehicles going along Udaipur-Chittorgarh road will go from under while the vehicles along Bhuwana-Balicha road will go above the underpass.

The heavy traffic at Pratapnagar crossroad has often resulted in traffic jams lasting hours. This underpass will bring in a huge respite for travelers.
