District Administration, UMC and UIT have started preparations for this year’s Lake Festival. This year’s lake festival has been planned for two days. Lake festival will be organised on 18-19 November 2017.

District Collector Bishnu Charan Mallick held a meeting for planning for this year’s Lake Festival. During the meeting he stressed that the programes organised during the festival should be short and impactful so that tourists and locals can have complete enjoyment from the experience.

Lake Festival will start in the morning with swimming and bird watching events. The late afternoon / evening will see watersports and cultural programmes along with cyclothon. Further, the double decker boat at Fatehsagar will play host to the Police band. Mumbai Bazaar will also have impersonators and magicians mesmerize the audience with their skills.

Adventure sports will also be a part of the water sports activities this year. For this, specialist teams from Gujarat, Maharashtra and other places will be invited.
