Udaipur Police Department is at the peak of its vigilance for the Dusshera Celebration in the city.

Every year, the festival is celebrated with burning of effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarana and Meghnatha, at the event organized by ‘Sanatan Dharm Samiti’ at Maharana Bhupal Stadium (Gandhi Ground).

SP (city) Hari Prasad Sharma said, “A huge crowd from around the city visits the stadium on Dussehra. So, to maintain law and order we are trying our best to keep the high level security and vigilance during the festival”.

Sharma said that undercover policemen will also keep an eye on the suspicious looking people and anti social elements during the festival, and besides this, there will be an armored constabulary, Reserve Police Force and Horse Regiment of the police.

Police force will be under the supervision of Kaluram Rawat Additional (SP), Headquarter.

Effigies are ready and up

The dummy figures of Ravana, Kumbhkarana and Meghnath are ready at Gandhi Ground. All the preparation of Dusshera has been done by the organizing committee. The program will start tomorrow 24 Oct in the evening.
