Tourism in Udaipur Gets a Boost with Launch of Patrolling Team

25 Tourist Patrolling Team vehicles flagged off to strengthen tourist safety, assistance and monitoring at major attractions

Udaipur, Feb 5, 2026 - A significant initiative was taken on Wednesday (February 4) to strengthen tourism security and facilities in Udaipur. At a ceremony held at Taya Palace, near Fateh Sagar, 25 Tourist Patrolling Team (TPT) vehicles were flagged off. The chief guest of the programme was Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria.

The event was held under the CSR initiative of Honda India Foundation, with Rajiv Taneja, Operating Officer of Honda India Foundation, present as the Guest of Honour. The programme was organised by Udaipur Police.

On this occasion, IG Gaurav Srivastava, District Collector Namit Mehta and other senior police and administrative officials were present.

The guests said that the launch of TPT vehicles would make the safety, assistance and guidance of tourists in the city more effective. Through these vehicles, monitoring at major tourist spots will increase, ensuring quick assistance to visitors and strengthening Udaipur’s image as a safe tourist destination.
