Upgraded Radar Guns to Track Multiple Traffic Violations in Udaipur
Online challans issued for helmetless riding, triple riding and mobile phone use while driving
Udaipur, Oct 24, 2025 – To reduce accidents on city roads and raise awareness about traffic rules, strict control is being enforced on vehicle speeds in Udaipur. Until now, the traffic police were only checking vehicle speeds using the radar gun machines, but now, traffic rules will be monitored from every angle.
As per reports, the traffic department’s speed radar gun machines have been upgraded. Now onwards, not only are high-speed violations being fined through camera surveillance, but also online challans (fines) are being issued for riding without a helmet, triple riding and using a mobile phone while riding a bike. Earlier, the system was only recording speed via radar guns, and around 25 to 30 challans were being issued daily. Speed violation is recorded by the machine and the challan is sent online directly to the vehicle owner.
