Traffic police has gone strict with parking in the city. More than 50 vehicles were fined for parking in the no-parking zone.

Going extremely strict with parking of vehicles in the no-parking zone, traffic police seized around 15 cars and 39 autos on Friday. Traffic police have alerted people that anyone breaking rules will not spared. It has been decided that traffic police will constantly be on the move to regulate traffic in the city and take strict action against people not following rules.

On Friday 15 cars were seized and around 2200 rupees were recovered as fine. 39 auto rickshaws were spotted breaking rules. These will also be seized. 2 auto rickshaws were checked for PUC(Pollution Under Control). Action will be taken against these 2 autos once the pollution report arrives.

Notices will be issued to coaching classes and medical shops

Going ahead with parking rules, it has been decided that coaching classes at Durga Nursery road and Surajpole will be issued notices regarding parking system. Medical shops in front of AB hospital will also be issued parking notices. As per the notice, the owners of coaching classes and medical classes will be made aware of the fact that haphazard parking of vehicles of students and customers causes a lot of traffic issues. Owners will be asked to make their own parking arrangements and contribute in the regularisation of traffic arrangements. If they do not follow instructions, action will be taken against them.

One of the most important issues is that auto drivers stop their autos in the middle of the road instead of auto stand. This also results in accidents or collision of vehicles behind the auto. Auto drivers not following rules for stopping their autos will be penalised. Any auto stopping in the middle of the road will be seized.

Strict action is most certainly needed for a better traffic management in Udaipur City. Even roads need to be repaired for smoother traffic. All those who violate traffic rules will not be spared, as specified by the traffic police.
