Regional Passport Officer, Vivek Jeph, carried out an inspection of the proposed Passport Office in Udaipur yesterday. He was returning after inspecting the PO PSK in Dungarpur.

Jeph informed that talks are currently on about the inauguration of the passport seva kendra (passport office) in Udaipur. He also said that discussions were underway exploring the possibility of making passports on a trial basis within a week’s time.

Readers may note that Maharana Pratap Passport Office is situated at Pathon ki Magri, Subhash Nagar. The Office has been ready for quite some time but awaiting inauguration due to unavailability of Chief Minister.

People of Udaipur have been extremely upset with the delay in inauguration. People have delayed getting their passports made, postponed renewal etc as they were expecting the office to come up in city soon
