Today, on the first day of the year 2013, collectorate resounded with a demonstration by the people who came from nearby tribal regions. They protested against the government under the banner of the Consortium of Indian Farmers Association.
This demonstration was unique in itself as it displayed the art and culture of the tribals and, at the same time, it showed the anger against the government for neglecting the forest region. This attracted the attention of passersby and senior officials at the collectorate.
These protests were lead by B L Chhanwal who said that they were protesting against the neglect of government towards the forest and against the land grabbing issues that they face in their region.
They put all their demands and problems in the memorandum and submitted it to the collector Vikas S Bhale, who listened to all their problems carefully and assured them of proper action by the administration.
