Ajmer division has sent a proposal to the Railway board for two trains to start from Udaipur. The trains have been proposed between Udaipur-Mysore via Ratlam, Vadodara, Pune and Udaipur-Katra via Chittorgarh, Fulera and Rewari.

Ajmer division has sent a proposal to the Railway board for two trains to start from Udaipur. The trains have been proposed between Udaipur-Mysore via Ratlam, Vadodara, Pune and Udaipur-Katra via Chittorgarh, Fulera and Rewari.

This information was given by Puneet Chawla, DRM, Ajmer Division. Speaking at Rotary Club’s function at Rotari Bajaj auditorium, Puneet said that proposal will also be sent for converting the thrice a week Udaipur-Haridwar express to a daily train.

Giving additional information about upcoming developments at Udaipur Railway Station, Puneet said that a food plaza will be opened at Udaipur station in next 6 months. He also informed space outside city railway station will be given out for 45 years lease for construction and running of a multi-functional complex. Tenders for this exercise will be opened on 31-Aug.

Additionally, a 2 MW solar system will also be installed at Udaipur Railway station. An MoU will also be signed for mechanised cleaning of the Railway Station.

The park outside the railway station will be adopted for maintenance by Indira IVF. An MoU towards the same will be signed between the Railway authorities and Indira IVF and beautification work will happen post that.
