The second Mega COVID Vaccination Camp conducted at Udaipur district today resulted in 1,00,828 doses being administered. This takes the total tally of Doses administered in Udaipur district to 20,41,753. Udaipur becomes one of the few districts to enter the 2 million COVID Vaccination zones in the country.

As per the report given by the office of the District reproductive and Child Health Officer UdaipurTotal COVID vaccination doses administered in Udaipur till the time of reporting today is 20,41,753 (Dose 1: 15,09,877; Dose 2: 5,31,876) with vaccinations still being administered across 734 sites in the district today. The total 20,36,368 doses administered in Udaipur till date include 18,12,261 doses of COVISHIELD and 2,29,492 doses of COVAXIN.  The total count for Rajasthan stands at 4,86,47,305 doses (Dose 1: 3,64,67,733; Dose 2: 1,21,79,572). These include 4,28,57,593 doses of COVISHIELD and 57,76,089 doses of COVAXIN.

Udaipur Health Department, in coordination with the state government has been conducting regular vaccination sessions in the urban and rural belt of the district. Apart from the regular government and private centers, the department has roped in societies to conduct mini vaccination camps in residential vicinities, facilitating quick approach to vaccination sites.

In the initial months, when the Vaccine was seen as taboo, the department held various awareness campaigns across the urban as well as rural belt, in which communities and societies across the district played a vital role. Even at the rural level, under the Health Assistant program, home to home and hut to hut awareness campaigns drove home the importance of COVID vaccination.

With two mega camps organized in the last 6 days in the district, the health department has managed to migrate Udaipur to the 2 million COVID Vaccination club.
