Udaipur Municipal Corporation unanimously passed the budget for 2017-18 through a voice vote. Rs 359 Crores have been sanctioned for various activities to be carried out during the year.

Khanchand, President of the Finance Committee presented the budget at the Budget Board meeting. The meeting saw the presence of State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria, Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari along with all the ward councillors (parshad) and key officials.

Rs 359 Crores have been sanctioned for the fiscal year 2017-18. This is 48 Crores higher than what was sanctioned in last year’s budget. The primary activities for which expenditures have been planned include improvement in road network, lake conservation, tourism and old city parking.

The budget will now be sent to State Government for ratification.
