Good news poured in for lake conservators, environmentalists and preservers of water resources. Center’s Urban Development Ministry has included Udaipur in the list of cities which follow best practices in renovation of water resources.

The Joint Secretary of Urban Development Praveen Prakash has sent a letter of invitation to Nagar Nigam for the presentation on 25^th June in New Delhi. Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari said that for the presentation, assistance from UIT will be taken to consider those practices that fall in the category.

The presentation will be held in the presence of PM Narendra Modi along with mayors of chief cities and commissioners.

It is to consider that under National Lake Conservation Plan, beautification of Lake Fateh Sagar and Lake Pichola has been going on. Also, with the help of public participation, renovation work is under progress of lakes, baolis and ponds including the Green Bridge Project of Ahar River.
