Bank employees, medical store employees, barbers, spa workers, vegetable and milk vendors, gas cylinder suppliers, cleaners, kirana store workers, thela walas, tea shop vendors, etc are among those identified as super spreaders.

Administration orders mandatory testing for super spreaders

With nearly 140 persons classfied as super spreaders having been tested COVID positive, the district administation has decided to crack down upon health checks of people belonging to the super spreader category. These include Bank employees, medical store employees, barbers, spa workers, vegetable and milk vendors, gas cylinder suppliers, cleaners, kirana store workers, thela walas, tea shop vendors, among others.

District Collector Chetan Deora, has instructed that those falling in above professional categories need to get themselves tested for COVID19 before 24 August. The testing will be done free of cost and will be held at the following locations.

Nagar Nigam, Community Health Centre, Sector 14, Satellite Hospital Chandpol, UPHC Krishi Mandi, Satellite Hospital Hiran Magri Sector 6, Maharana Bhupal Hospital and ESIC hospital at Chitrakoot nagar have been identified as the free testing centers for those who belong to the above categories.

Voluntary testing recommended

With nearly 2/3rd of positive cases this month being those of close contacts, the Collector has suggeted social distancing measures at homes as well. It is also recommended that any member facing any symptoms, viz. cough or cold, fever, headache, loss of taste, diarrhoea, difficulty in breathing, etc gets themselves tested at the above mentioned centers and keep distance from other family members.

12 units of plasma received at RNT Medical College

The Collector has made a public request for Plasma donation from symptomatic COVID patients who have fully recovered. This request comes after Dr. Lakhan Poswal, Principal of RNT Medical College informed that RNT has received just 12 units of plasma.. 8 units of which are being used to treat highly symptomatic patients, who are now showing signs of recovery.
