Decisions taken in meeting to review implementation of 2025-26 State Budget announcements included boosting night tourism, tribal tourism and introducing health sector measures
Udaipur, February 24, 2025 - Rajasthan Minister of Revenue and Colonisation Department and Udaipur District In-charge, Hemant Meena has said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the State Government is working for the upliftment of every section of society. In the 2025-26 State Budget, the government has made announcements keeping in mind the interests of youth, farmers, workers, women and all other sections. It is our collective responsibility to work together and ensure that the benefits of the government’s schemes and announcements reach everyone, he said.
Minister Hemant Meena was addressing a meeting to reviews the implementation of 2025-26 Budget announcements at the District Council Hall yesterday, along with the In-charge Secretary T Ravikant.
During the meeting, City MLA Tarachand Jain said the long-standing issue in Udaipur regarding lack of dining options for tourists at night had yet to be resolved. Earlier, efforts were made to establish a cafe in the Roadways campus but that mission was unsuccessful. The State Budget has announced promotion of night tourism in Udaipur. Hence, following instructions from Minister Meena and Secretary Ravikant, Udaipur District Collector informed that officials of the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA), Nagar Nigam, Smart City and Tourism Department would meet to identify locations and finalise a cafe area to develop night tourism.
Lok Sabha MP Dr Mannalal Rawat suggested including Dungarpur’s Devsomnath Temple and Sheetala Mata temple in the tribal tourism circuit emphasising that both sites are important religions centres.
Minister Meena and Secretary Ravikant asked the Collector to identify projects announced in the last Budget but not yet implemented and resolve the issues soon. The In-charge Secretary also stressed on swift implementation of initiatives taken by the government in the health sector.
Apart from MP Rawat and MLA Jain, the meeting was also attended by Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, Deputy District Head Pushkar Teli, District Police Superintendent Yogesh Goyal, UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, CEO of District Council Riya Dabi, UDA Secretary Hemendra Nagar and other officials.
